1000s Surround Presidential Palace in Egypt



'Tens of thousands of anti-Morsi protesters have encircled the presidential palace in Cairo after Egyptian riot police were unable to stop them with tear gas, and 18 people were injured in clashes with police.

The protesters, who banged on lampposts and chanted “Leave,” gathered outside the al-Ittihadiya Palace in the Egyptian capital on Tuesday. “We are here to demand the fall of the constituent assembly and the removal of the illegitimate constitutional declaration that he (Morsi) put in place -- by which he placed himself above God -- it is only God whose decisions are not questioned,” one of the protesters said.'
