The Golden Rule: Cory Sturmer Interviews Karen Hudes - 3 Part Interview

Published on Nov 27, 2013
Part I - September 20, 2013

In part 1/3, I sit down to discuss the state of our fiscal dis-order with former world bank lawyer turned planetary-level whistleblower Karen Hudes. She shares her insights on the global financial situation, where we are in the fight to regain control of our monetary system, and some of the more pivotal experiences throughout her career.

Karen's keystone disclosure, which inevitably lead to her illegal firing from the World Bank, was a stakeholder analysis produced by a political scientist in the world bank that used an advanced game-theory model to predict what would happen if the United States continued to rig markets & rely on fraudulent accounting. The results of the analysis, which Karen claims is approximately 95% accurate, stated the United States would lose the 66 year old gentleman's agreement stipulating the United States can appoint the president of the World Bank.

Karen blew the whistle on this discovery in 2007, before the 2008 financial crisis & in 2010 the aforementioned gentleman's agreement ended.

Disclosing this analysis seemed to act as a portal for Karen, where the layers of corruption subsequently revealed themselves to her & she then found herself somewhat as a beacon of light amidst a systemically dark & corrupt financial order.

Listen closely as Karen paints the picture of "where we are" as we must understand this before we can pull ourselves out of the mess we are now in.

In this Part 2/3 series with World Bank Whistle Blower Karen Hudes, we discuss a more personal history & how self-discovery and self-reflection helped her to discern the multi-layered corruption she would later experience professionally at the World Bank.

Karen's personal story provide valuable insights which help one grasp & extrapolate how we all, each of us individuals, have a role to play in creating a better more just world. While the discussion deviates from the mechanics & machinations of financial tyranny, it is an honest account which illustrates colorfully who Karen Hudes is & where she's coming from.

In this part 3/3 Karen Hudes offers her "personal solutions" to combat the economic disorder discussed in parts 1 & 2.

What is so refreshing about Karen is that she is not afraid to inform us that we all have an equal role in fixing what has been wronged & we do not have to live in a certain area, or be in a similar position as she is in order to make a difference. We have to first start with our selves & then act locally by holding the entities in our area accountable for their behavior. In other words - we should identify our own corruption & then simply embody the version of the world we want to see.

She stands as a testament to that recommendation as she has for years now risked professional reputation, imprisonment & worse in her efforts to hold those individuals with influence to account for their unsavory behavior.

Without the collective making similar sacrifices in their own sphere of influence, be that with family community or country, we will not be able to make the needed changes to have a smooth transition away from the current system.
