Bezos Becomes World’s Richest Man As Whistleblower Exposes NSA & CIA Collusion with Amazon

A person claiming to be a former data center tech at Amazon implicates the company in working directly with the NSA and CIA to domestically spy on Americans.

Washington, D.C. – Amazon, and its owner Jeff Bezos, who recently surpassed Bill Gates to become the richest man in the world – and who has a $600 million dollar contract with the CIA – have come under fire after a purported whistleblower implicated the company of collusion with the CIA and NSA to spy on Americans.

Bezos, who also owns one of the main propaganda outlets in the United States, The Washington Post, is a controversial figure, who has deep ties to the national security apparatus. He is a former Bilderburger, who has enmeshed his corporations with the national security state.

After building Amazon into an e-commerce behemoth, CEO Jeff Bezos purchased the ailing 140-year-old media goliath in 2013 for $250 million — but his lack of experience in media raised the eyebrows of that industry and much of the business world. The same year Bezos purchased the Post, Amazon landed a $600 million deal with the CIA to develop a coordinated computing cloud for all 17 agencies of the U.S. intelligence community.

Although innocuous on the surface, that sizable deal appears somewhat darker in consideration of this year’s quasi-official continuance of the U.S. government’s most notorious propaganda program, Operation Mockingbird — during which intelligence agents posed as the media to imbue pro-American propaganda and censor certain information.

Now, a person claiming to be a former tech at one of Amazon’s data centers, which operates “under the purview of VADATA, Inc.” — in an effort to conceal its relationship to Amazon – made a detailed, and scathing claim, which directly implicates the company in working directly with the NSA and CIA to domestically spy on Americans hosting their data on AWS servers.

Snowden’s Revealing Tweet Exposes Exactly What Our TV’s Are Doing To Us

http://www.collective-evolution.com

tweet_snowden

Four years ago, Edward Snowden accomplished one of the most significant intelligence leaks in U.S. history, confirming to the world that the government really does spy on you. Two years later, Samsung casually warned the public that their Smart TVs could record their living room banter.
Now, even if you’re alone in a room, if that room contains a laptop, computer, or Smart TV, it’s possible that someone out there is listening to you, and even watching you. The worst part? You wouldn’t even know.
A new technology called TVision Insights was recently launched, allowing companies to monitor TV watchers’ viewing habits. This means that they can literally watch you as you watch TV, and the technology even records data on where your eyes are looking, when you’re distracted, and what emotions you’re conveying.

Bombshell: YAHOO secretly scanned ALL emails for NSA, FBI

https://leaksource.files.wordpress.com/2013/11/nsa-google-yahoo.jpg

By Joseph Menn | SAN FRANCISCO

Yahoo Inc last year secretly built a custom software program to search all of its customers' incoming emails for specific information provided by U.S. intelligence officials, according to people familiar with the matter.
The company complied with a classified U.S. government demand, scanning hundreds of millions of Yahoo Mail accounts at the behest of the National Security Agency or FBI, said three former employees and a fourth person apprised of the events.

Some surveillance experts said this represents the first case to surface of a U.S. Internet company agreeing to an intelligence agency's request by searching all arriving messages, as opposed to examining stored messages or scanning a small number of accounts in real time.

It is not known what information intelligence officials were looking for, only that they wanted Yahoo to search for a set of characters. That could mean a phrase in an email or an attachment, said the sources, who did not want to be identified.

Snowden designs hardware to thwart cellphone digital surveillance

Former U.S. National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden © Vincent Kessler

NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden and a hacker colleague have designed cellphone hardware that would alert a user to radio digital surveillance and errant signals.

The cellphone battery case, or “introspection engine” is designed for the iPhone 6 to monitor the electrical signal sent to its internal antennas.

Snowden and Andrew Huang, a hardware hacker, presented the design before an audience at the MIT Med Lab in Boston, Massachusetts on Thursday, according to Wired magazine.

The battery case comes with a small mono-color screen and tiny wires that slot into the iPhone’s SIM-card slot to test points on the phone’s circuit board.

There the wires read electrical signals sent to the phone’s two antennas that are used by its radio, including GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi and cellular modem. The battery case will then warn the user through an alert message or an audible alarm if its radios are transmitting anything when they are meant to be off.

Wikipedia Founder Sues NSA, Demands "End To NSA’s Dragnet Surveillance Of Internet Traffic"

By Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wikipedia, is a board member of the Wikimedia Foundation, of which Lila Tretikov is the executive director, first posted in the NYT.

Stop Spying on Wikipedia Users

TODAY, we’re filing a lawsuit against the National Security Agency to protect the rights of the 500 million people who use Wikipedia every month. We’re doing so because a fundamental pillar of democracy is at stake: the free exchange of knowledge and ideas.

Our lawsuit says that the N.S.A.’s mass surveillance of Internet traffic on American soil — often called “upstream” surveillance — violates the Fourth Amendment, which protects the right to privacy, as well as the First Amendment, which protects the freedoms of expression and association. We also argue that this agency activity exceeds the authority granted by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act that Congress amended in 2008.

Most people search and read Wikipedia anonymously, since you don’t need an account to view its tens of millions of articles in hundreds of languages. Every month, at least 75,000 volunteers in the United States and around the world contribute their time and passion to writing those articles and keeping the site going — and growing.

On our servers, run by the nonprofit Wikimedia Foundation, those volunteers discuss their work on everything from Tiananmen Square to gay rights in Uganda. Many of them prefer to work anonymously, especially those who work on controversial issues or who live in countries with repressive governments.

Patriot Act Extension Blocked In Senate

Patriot Act Extension Blocked

SPRINGFIELD, Virginia- Today, Campaign for Liberty issued the following statement from C4L President John Tate after the Senate failed to advance the “USA Freedom Act” which would have extended key provisions of the Patriot Act until 2017.

“I am pleased the Senate did not move forward with extending the Patriot Act this evening,” said John Tate.

“I would like to thank Senator Rand Paul and Campaign for Liberty members across the country for leading the charge against the most egregious violation of Americans’ civil liberties this century- The Patriot Act.

“Americans’ constitutionally protected right to privacy must be vigorously protected and it is time to end these intrusive government programs that do nothing to enhance our national security.

“Campaign for Liberty will continue to work to end warrantless surveillance of Americans, rein in the NSA, and restore Americans’ civil liberties.”

Dragnet: Justice Dept gets airborne to spy on thousands of American cellphone users

The Justice Department building is seen in Washington (Reuters / Gary Cameron)

New disclosures show the Justice Department is engaged in dragnet surveillance using aircraft equipped with a device that mimics a cellphone tower and scoops up data from thousands of mobile phone users to hunt for criminal suspects.

The US Marshals Service program operates Cessna aircraft from five metropolitan airports, all equipped with a fake cellphone tower device that can trick phones into reporting their unique registration information, according to disclosures first reported by The Wall Street Journal. During a single flight, the dragnet data collection will scoop up identifying information and the general location of thousands of cellphones.

Since mobile phones are programmed to connect automatically to the strongest cellphone tower signal, the device – or “dirtbox” – used by the Marshals Service mimics this signal in order to ensure connectivity. By doing so, the surveillance program cuts out phone companies as an intermediary. The method is used to target a cellphone being used by a person under investigation by the department – a fugitive or drug dealer.

Phony cellphone towers being used to intercept calls in the U.S.

By Tori Floyd | The Right Click

Big Brother is watching. Or, more precisely, listening.

According to a recent report, there are at least 17 mysterious, phony cellphone towers in the United States that appear in every way to be ordinary towers, but have been set up to maliciously eavesdrop on conversations or texts or even push spyware onto a device.

The worst part is that no one knows who erected these towers or what information is being gathered.

“What we find suspicious is that a lot of these interceptors are right on top of U.S. military bases,” Les Goldsmith, the CEO of ESD America told Popular Science. “So we begin to wonder – are some of them U.S. government interceptors? Or are some of them Chinese interceptors?

To be clear, these ‘towers’ are not necessarily the tall, physical spires we’re accustomed to seeing along highways or atop hills. These interceptors can be small, mobile installations that transport easily and can be purchased for as little as $100,000.

“Interceptor use in the U.S. is much higher than people had anticipated,” Goldsmith said. “One of our customers took a road trip from Florida to North Carolina and he found eight different interceptors on that trip. We even found one at South Point Casino in Las Vegas.”

Senate committee approves broadening of NSA's authority

Published on Jul 8, 2014 The Senate Intelligence Committee passed the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act in a 12-3 vote late Tuesday evening. Written by Sens. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif) and Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga), civil liberties and privacy advocates fear the bill may potentially expand the controversial National Security Agency's power to collect information on Americans. The legislation is modeled on 2013's CISPA bill, which was defeated in Congress after a public outcry. RT's Ameera David has more on the unexpected passage.

All Americans Will Receive A Microchip Implant In 2017 Per Obamacare

From: The PCMD Gazette

NBC has recently predicted that in 2017, all of America will be tagged with microchips. They will be implanted to help identify individuals immediately. According to the report, the technology is used to answer one question, “Am I who I say I am?”

Some worry, however, that the RFID Microchip will give the government too much power, allowing them to track every move. In some states, like Virginia, legislation is in process to stop this from happening.

The report also reveals an RFID Brain Chip that has been developed and is currently being tested on several humans.

Proof the RFID Microchip is in Obamacare below:

It was reported that the use of Micro-Chips in Bill H.R. 4872 was located on Page 1014 under “National Medical Device Registry” it tells about a “Class II Device That is Implantable” and yes, they passed the bill.

Read Page “1014″ In The H.R. 4872

Read Class II Special Controls Guidance For FDA Staff

With the RFID Microchip they can track the movement of the people that are implanted. They can also control the money and food of the people. It is also reported to be possible to even kill the people that don’t obey.

When NSA contractor Edward Snowden downloaded tens of thousands of top-secret documents from a highly secure government network, it led to the largest leak of classified information in history — and sparked a fierce debate over privacy, technology and democracy in the post-9/11 world.

Now, in United States of Secrets, FRONTLINE goes behind the headlines to reveal the dramatic inside story of how the U.S. government came to monitor and collect the communications of millions of people around the world—including ordinary Americans—and the lengths they went to trying to hide the massive surveillance program from the public.

“This is as close to the complete picture as anyone has yet put together — and it’s bigger and more pervasive than we thought,” says veteran FRONTLINE filmmaker Michael Kirk (League of Denial, Bush’s War).

In part one, a two-hour film premiering Tuesday, May 13 at a special time (9 p.m.), Kirk goes inside Washington and the National Security Agency, piecing together the secret history of the unprecedented surveillance program that began in the wake of September 11 and continues today – even after the revelations of its existence by Edward Snowden.

Then, in part two, premiering Tuesday, May 20 at 10 p.m., veteran FRONTLINE filmmaker Martin Smith (The Untouchables, To Catch a Trader) continues the story, exploring the secret relationship between Silicon Valley and the National Security Agency, and investigating how the government and tech companies have worked together to gather and warehouse your data.

The NSA gathers more data on American citizens than it does about foreigners, Edward Snowden has said. During an acceptance speech for a “truth-telling” prize, the whistleblower attacked NSA head, James Clapper, for lying about US surveillance.

“We watch our own people more closely than anyone else in the world,” said Edward Snowden, appearing in a live video link at the 11th annual Ridenhour Prizes ceremony in Washington. He was greeted by a standing ovation from the audience when he received the Ridenhour Award for “Truth-Telling."

During his speech, the whistleblower said he leaked thousands of classified government documents, detailing the NSA’s mass surveillance programs because “it was the right thing to do, and now I see I’m not the only one who felt that way.”

“I thought the most likely outcome would be spending the rest of my life in prison,”
said Snowden.

He also criticized the Senate and the House Intelligence committees for their lack of oversight on the NSA and the intelligence community. Leveling criticism at the NSA’s director, James Clapper, Snowden blasted him for his “famous lie” during a speech last year.

RIP Privacy: US judge rules NSA program legal

Published on Dec 27, 2013

Edward Snowden Delivers "Alternative Christmas Address"

Edward Snowden will deliver the "Alternative Christmas Address" on Britain's Channel 4.  In the past, the address was given by figures such as Ali G and Sharon Osborne.  The "Alternative Christmas Address" is the channel's answer to the Queen's message to the country.

Snowden will say "Great Britain’s George Orwell warned us of the danger of this kind of information. The types of collection in the book – microphones and video cameras, TVs that watch us are nothing compared to what we have available today. We have sensors in our pockets that track us everywhere we go. Think about what this means for the privacy of the average person."

The head of News and Current Affairs at Channel 4 explained, "Edward Snowden’s decision to reveal the extent of surveillance programmes was one of the most significant news events of the year. The information which he has placed in the public domain raises serious questions for democratic society. This is an opportunity for our viewers to hear from him directly and judge for themselves what he has to say."

Snowden will end his message with a positive note, "Together we can find a better balance, end mass surveillance and remind the government that if it really wants to know how we feel asking is always cheaper than spying."
